Congratulations to Shashank Saxena for winning SWICCOMAS 2024 Poster Competition!

Our doctoral student, Shashank Saxena, recently won the best poster award in the SWICCOMMAS 2024 Poster Competition held at ETH Zurich on February 16th.

His poster "Pushing Time Scales in Atomistic Simulations via Statistically-Averaged Coarse Graining" presented the methodology to efficiently compute finite-temperature equilibrium material properties from atomistics and to simulate long time-scale dynamics for atomic ensebles alongwith a few benchmark examples. This project aims to bridge the gap between the accuracy of atomic simulations and the length and time scales of realistic engineering applications and is funded by the European Research Council (ERC) through the Consolidator Grant COGRA.

The recording of the event is available under this link.
