Welcome to our new Postdoc!
The M&M Group is excited to welcome Dr. Claire Griesbach as a new postdoctoral researcher.
Claire recently received her Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, with her dissertation focusing on the microstructural changes and associated mechanical properties of materials exposed to extreme environments. She also earned B.S and M.S. degrees in Engineering Mechanics from UW Madison in 2017 and 2019, respectively. For her work in TRISO nuclear fuel particles, Claire received the Nuclear Energy Research and Development Student Competition award and the DOE Office of Science Graduate Student Research award. As a postdoctoral researcher at ETH, Claire will be experimentally investigating the microstructural evolution in ferroelectric materials, focusing on developing a mechanistic understanding of domain switching.
