Professor Dennis M. Kochmann is the winner of the external page2022 John Argyris Award, bestowed every two years by the International Association for Computational Mechanics (IACM). The award recognizes outstanding accomplishments in the field and was given to Professor Kochmann at the 2022 World Congress of Computational Mechanics (WCCM) for his "remarkably broad scientific and professional impact" on computational mechanics, including the development of multiscale modeling techniques for natural and, especially, architected materials. He points out that this distinction surely goes to the entire Mechanics & Materials team (past and present).
